GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE MOYSIDIS TRAVEL PROGRAMS

 

Please read the following General Terms and Conditions carefully. Participation in any organized trip of our tourist office presupposes a thorough study of the program of a particular trip and means unconditional acceptance by the client of the General Conditions of Participation.

 

 

GENERAL TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL ORDER 7/2018, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EU DIRECTIVE 2015/2302

 

The General Conditions of Participation, on the one hand, govern the obligations and obligations of the Client (traveler or intermediary) who participates in an organized trip (a package of travel services and at least one night), and on the other hand, a travel agency (that sells travel packages (travel) organized by the same or another organizer: A traveler, members or non-members of his family and participants, through associations, schools, companies, agencies or other bodies, with their participation or mediation in the trips of the Company or another organizer, take for granted that they unconditionally accept the travel itinerary and the following conditions of participation, which they have carefully studied, understood and undertake to comply with the conditions of their participation.The information, data and recommendations contained in the General Conditions of Participation have been verified by our office for accuracy and accuracy and are general and apply as is unless otherwise indicated in the program of each trip Programs, including the current price list, valid for the period indicated in them. Travel program information and data are subject to change due to frequent and unusual changes in global conditions, in particular in the field of transport and international relations. In this case, you will be immediately notified in the most convenient way.

 

  1. ORGANIZER – TOURIST OPERATOR. Our company MOYSIDIS O.E. received the special EOT mark. with the number ΜΗ.Τ.Ε 1042E60000268801. Our company organizes trips, alone or in collaboration with other organizers, which it sells itself or through other travel agencies and acts as an intermediary between clients / traveler and various service providers that it uses (transport companies, hotels, local travel agencies, etc. in which it has no direct control, but will support any contractual requirements of the traveler as an intermediary for its customers. The intermediary is a reseller and is not an authorized representative of the Company

 

  1. REGISTRATION – PARTICIPATION IN ORGANIZED TRAVEL. Valid tour reservations and seat reservations are made through our offices or our partners’ offices, by mail, fax, telephone and through our website, subject to (availability of reservations for this trip): 1st, payment of advance payment each time – usually 30% – or of the entire amount, in cash, by credit card or by transfer to the tourist office, within 48 hours. 2nd, unconditional acceptance and compliance with these General Conditions. For valid check-in, the specific trip must be indicated on the advance payment receipt, with the departure and return dates and any other confidential information. Travel eligibility is secured by paying the total cost and associated fees 21 full days prior to departure. Any non-payment of the total cost of the trip for the allotted time gives our company the right to cancel the reservation and, possibly, demand a cancellation fee in accordance with the cancellation conditions given in this document. A contractor who represents his family or team is required to inform all of his fellow travelers about the details and conditions of the trip. Participants through third parties have the same obligations as the representative who registered them on the trip, and the travel agency provides them with any relevant information, when required. In some organized flights, a representative of our company will be at the airport of departure / arrival to facilitate your travel, meaning that the escort will be at the airport of arrival and the service will begin and end with arrival and departure at the airport of the destination of the trip. Our company does not bear any responsibility for the days and opening hours of markets, museums and archaeological sites.
  2. TOUR PRICES – FEES. The travel prices indicated in the current form of the Company are calculated on the day the price list / form is issued based on the cost of services, current tariffs / surcharges of any nature, the exchange rate of foreign currencies against the euro, as well as any other cost factor. The company, having exhausted any possibility of providing, reserves the right to adjust prices if the above cost factors change due to an unusual and unpredictable increase before the departure of the trip. If, for the above reasons, the cost of the trip increases, the Traveler has the right to accept the corresponding increase or cancel his participation if this increase exceeds 10% of the total cost of the trip, and receive a refund without interest. The same condition applies to limited participation (less than 20 people) on the trip, as well as to any tax difference in the event that group tickets are full and the Carrier or the hotel owner requests a higher rate or rent for additional seats. Children’s discounts (for children under 11 years), if any, vary and are available when two adults are accommodated in the same room / cabin. The company has the right to deduct the pre-registration or the place of the “last minute” to make a trip, without the right of other travelers to claim a similar discount. The prices do not include city tax (if any), which is valid for visitors (tourists) only and is payable locally at the hotels.

 

  1. OBLIGATIONS – TOURIST AGENT (OPERATOR). In the event of incorrect service, direct notification must be made to the escort, if not provided, to the local agent by notifying the Company to correct the problem. Otherwise, the problem should be reported to the Company in writing upon return within 10 days, enclosing any information to substantiate it. Any compensation for not providing a service may not exceed twice the cost of an individual service. In case of insufficient number of participants (if stipulated in the tour information), the Company has the right to cancel the trip and inform Travelers about it seven (7) days before the start of the trip and return the money they paid, without any other obligations, if only they will not accept the difference in cost with a smaller number of tour participants. The conditions of travel, services and prices are considered to be those mentioned in the sales contract (confirmation of payment for the trip), which is signed and accepted by the Traveler or the Intermediary. The final travel plan is considered to be that travelers or intermediaries receive and accept along with travel information documents 2-3 days before departure with any extraordinary changes and are required to notify the team that they described on the trip. Services that are not mentioned in the description of organized travel programs or that are mentioned as optional, are either not offered by our company at all, or are provided at an additional cost in addition to the indicated prices, if it is finally possible to sell them. Our company is not responsible for additional activities, conducted by local agencies. After the completion of your trip, our company will issue tax documents required by law, which will be received by our offices during working days and hours of financial services (Monday – Friday 10:00 – 17:00)

 

  1. OBLIGATIONS – LIABILITY OF TRAVELERS. Since other people usually take part in an organized trip, appropriate social behavior and absolute adherence by travelers to the travel plan and the offers of accompanying or guides, as well as their timely arrival at the meeting points for various program benefits (flights, transfers, tours, excursions, meals, etc.) etc.). If the traveler’s delay or inconsistency results in the loss of a flight, excursion, transport or other services, the traveler will have to join the group at their own expense and responsibility, without the right to a refund for the lost service or for the entire trip if it is not possible to join the group. Our company will make every effort to help him, without any obligation. At airports, ports, train stations, etc. You must be at least two (2) hours prior to departure. If the trip is not provided for an accompanying person, the Traveler must confirm on the spot his next flight or other route with a transport company and confirm at what time and from which airport, port, terminal, station his transfer takes place. Any loss of the vehicle due to the delay of the Traveler or voluntary interruption of the trip implies the loss of the entire trip if it is impossible to reconnect with the rest of the team with the help of the company, only at your own expense (another ticket, etc.). Any movement of the traveler outside the group is his sole responsibility. In the same way, the Company is not responsible for travel services that were not provided to the Traveler due to his own negligence or responsibility, illness or accident. Carriers, hoteliers and other service providers, as well as the Company do not accept reimbursement of paid money for illness, accidents, medical procedures, etc. and we recommend the Traveler to insure himself in such a case. Regardless of its obligations, the Company will assist with any reimbursement only if the suppliers accept the supporting documents provided. If the Traveler is unable to take part in a trip in which he has already made a deposit or payment, he can assign his reservation to another person with the conditions for participation in a particular trip no later than six (6) working days before departure, while especially for shipping, the above period is ten (10) days prior to departure. In the event of any outstanding balance of the cost of the trip or possible additional costs on the appropriate instruction, the assignor and the recipient are jointly and severally liable to the Company for payment of the corresponding amount. Especially in the case of air carriers, it should be noted that it is not possible to change the passenger’s name, but only to cancel the existing reservation and reserve a new seat, if possible, with a possible surcharge. The company does not bear any responsibility if a new place is not found. Mandatory cancellation of the reservation will be made in accordance with the cancellation conditions described in this document.

 

  1. EXCURSIONS – MUSEUMS – OPTIONAL. During holidays, visits to museums and other archaeological sites may not be as scheduled due to the holidays and their work. The price of the trip does not include visits to museums, archaeological or similar sites, unless otherwise indicated in the itinerary. Additional excursions / events are organized and paid abroad, a minimum number of applications is required. The company is not responsible for the sales and prices that will be offered and, at their discretion, travelers may or may not participate in optional excursions or other activities abroad. The program and duration of the tours varies and is determined by travel agencies and guides in each region.

 

  1. HOTELS-ACCOMMODATION / SHIPS AND OTHER FACILITIES. All information regarding the classification or categories of hotels and accommodations mentioned in our organized or sold trips is in accordance with the current legislation of each state regarding the tourist classification of hotels and accommodations, which may differ between countries. Most hotel rooms are designed for two beds or one double bed. Thus, triple or quadruple rooms are, in fact, double rooms with an extra bed, sofa or sofa bed. They are usually not very comfortable, and the extra bed may be smaller than usual. Check in at the hotel usually from 14: 00-15: 00 and return the room (check out) until 12:00 on the day of departure. If you want to enter the room earlier or leave later, you will have to pay the corresponding fee. If, due to unforeseen difficulties, the tour operator is forced to change the hotel to another, the same or a higher category, our company is not obliged to pay any other compensation to travelers. In case of late arrival at the hotel, after the day or time of the traveler’s planned arrival, and if he did not notify the hotel and our office, the hotel has the right to cancel the booking and make the room available for the entire period of booking. In the event of overbookings by the hotel, our company will make every effort to resolve the issue, in accordance with applicable law in the host country. All hotel premises used by the Company have a legal and valid operating license from the competent authorities of the country in which they operate, and the reserved rooms are of the category (standard). The choice of hotels depends on their location and the services offered in combination with the selling price of the trip. There is no single international criterion, therefore hotels can differ from each other, even if they belong to the same category. On trips in Greece, which are made by bus, the seats are indicated in the order of registration and do not change during the trip. On the contrary, when traveling abroad by bus, the seats change daily. The duration of the visit / excursion throughout the day does not exceed eight (8) hours, always counting from the time of departure from the hotel until the time of return. Half day walk / excursion will not exceed four (4) hours, always counting from check-out to return to hotel. This is known in advance and it is clearly stipulated that airlines and for their own reasons (aircraft breakdowns, etc.) sometimes order aircraft of another airline for their flights, change the flight schedule from morning to noon and vice versa, as well as their types of aircraft. These changes are accepted by IATA and do not entitle travelers to cancel travel without paying the cancellation fee.

 

  1. PASSPORT – VISA – HEALTH FORMULAS, etc. All participants traveling abroad must have a valid passport. You can also travel around countries as part of the Schengen agreement with Latin-letter identities. The company recommends that your passport be valid for at least six (6) months after your return. In some areas, an additional passport validity period of 3, 6 or 12 months is required. The validity and issuance of all documents (passport, identity card, etc.) is the responsibility of the Traveler, and the Company is not responsible. Particular attention should be paid to minor travelers who need to provide the necessary travel documents (passports, etc.). Foreign passport holders should also inform the Company in writing and apply to the consular authorities of their country, as well as to the countries they will visit, to check if they need a visa or any other documents for the countries from where they will cross or where they will be. will travel as well as for their re-entry into the country from where they started. Failure to ensure the timely issuance or confirmation of travel documents does not justify canceling the traveler’s participation without a cancellation fee. The company provides all travel information when the International Health Organization requires vaccinations, medications, etc. However, due to frequent local epidemic changes and the medical personal data of each traveler, he is obliged to contact the competent local health authorities for more responsible and reliable information. or with your doctor, informing him if he will travel to extreme areas. epidemic conditions, cold, temperature, altitude, or other similar local conditions.

 

  1. INSURANCE. The company has entered into a group civil liability insurance policy for each trip organized by it, which covers cases of any liability to its customers arising from non-performance or improper performance of the organized trip. The insurance policy also covers cases of insolvency or bankruptcy. There is also a travel insurance policy covering travel accident insurance, medical / hospital expenses in connection with an accident, loss of luggage, as well as travel repatriation due to injury or illness and other insurance events for people under 75 years old. The number of insurance policies and the details of the insurer are at the disposal of the traveler in the accounting department of our office. In addition, there is the possibility of additional insurance, for more coverage, depending on the desired amount, which our office unconditionally recommends. In addition, in case of illness during your trip to the European Union, we recommend that you contact your insurance institution to issue a “European Health Insurance Card”.

 

  1. LUGGAGE Luggage is transported under the responsibility of their owners, delivered to the carrier and accepted with the responsibility and care of their owners, regardless of whether there is a tourist office escort. In the event of damage or loss of baggage, the IATA (International Air Transport Association) Aircraft Rules and relevant international treaties apply to any vehicles, as well as hotels, in which case liability is limited in accordance with these contracts. Our company does not bear any responsibility for the contents of the baggage and any valuables and valuables, and we recommend that they be properly kept or not taken with you. Regardless of the type of trip (by air, sea or bus), the transport company charges each passenger only one suitcase weighing up to 20 kg, unless otherwise indicated (for example, for domestic flights, a fee is charged for each suitcase). In addition to luggage, the traveler is entitled to small hand luggage with a maximum size of 50x40x25 cm (length / height / width). If the traveler has luggage over 20 kg. or has more baggage, the carrier may charge a fee and the traveler is required to pay on the spot.

 

  1. CANCELLATION. In case of cancellation by the Traveler, the cost of cancellation or envelope is paid in the following terms, unless otherwise specified in a particular trip. Cancellation is carried out only in writing for the Company and regardless of the date of registration and departure of the trip, the following fee will be charged per person (if it is not possible to assign the reservation to another person): • 21 days before departure € 30 for trips to Greece and € 50 for trips for border, per person, for administrative expenses. • from 20 to 14 days before departure: 50% of the total cost of the trip. • 13 days before departure: 100% of the total cost of the trip. Special fares for the purchase and cancellation of an air ticket are charged up to 100% of its cost, regardless of the time of booking and cancellation of seats. Cruises have different cancellation conditions in accordance with the terms of each company contract applicable to each cruise trip available to you. For individual travel, different cancellation conditions apply, according to the terms of each airline fare, as well as the cancellation policy of each hotel, agent, etc. Payment is due regardless of check-in time or whether the respective amounts were paid by travelers or not. In the event that one of the two people who intend to stay in a double room cancels their participation, except for cancellation fees as the traveler is forced to stay in a single room, they will be charged an additional fee for that use. He also bears the cost of attending any conference, match tickets and other services that he has requested on his own behalf and will usually not be returned. It is emphasized that in the midst of holiday, Easter, summer, three-day, carnival, conferences, sports, art events and other similar events, due to prepayment for travel, accommodation, tickets, etc. cancellation, regardless of the time of booking or cancellation places can reach 100%.

 

  1. SETTLEMENT OF DIVISIONS. Our company and the traveler undertake to resolve in good faith any disputes that may arise during the execution of the organized trip agreement. In case of failure of the relevant efforts, the parties undertake to contact the Committee for the Friendly Settlement of Disputes of the Association of Travel Agencies in Greece and request its mediation. If a friendly settlement of the dispute is not possible, the hearing will take place by the court in Chania, Crete.

 

 

I carefully read all the above conditions for participation (12 articles in total), which I accept personally and on behalf of all travelers who refer to my reservation, and I am authorized to register them on this trip.
